Orange County Selects Matrix

Merritt Island, FL – November 1, 2004 – Central Florida’s Orange County Fire Rescue Department (OCFRD) is responsible for delivering emergency medical services across 813 square miles. Matrix has developed, enhanced, and supported the StatSuite‘.EMS system for Orange County Emergency Management Services, Fire Rescue Department and the Winter Park Fire Rescue Department on a continuing basis since 1998. This county-wide data collection effort includes systems integration, software development, WAN deployment and communications, remote administration, and large-scale project management efforts.

Matrix and OCFRD designed and developed StatSuite, a complete system for EMS incident data capture, reporting and integration. Using IBM Lotus Notes and Domino as the base product for security, scalability and reliability in operation, StatSuite integrates the incident information from the CAD system; captures patient data either in the field or at station computers; allows entry of patient assessment, treatment, and medications; aggregates and analyzes data from multiple agencies; offers customizable workflow options; and supports local, state and federal reporting requirements.

Matrix was again selected by Orange County to provide application development and StatSuite support continuing through Fiscal Year 2005. “For the County to request Matrix’ continued services reflects the level of confidence they have in our capabilities,”  said Robin Highstone, CEO of Matrix.
