Local Business Owner Honored as Leading Woman Entrepreneur of the World

Merritt Island, FL, USA – Robin Highstone, Director and Chief Financial Officer of Matrix Information Systems Inc., a high technology development firm with headquarters on Florida’s Space Coast, was chosen as one of The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World for 2002.

Ms. Highstone was among eight women-owned IBM Software Business Partners selected.  She joined more than 40 past honorees in Paris, France for the 5th Anniversary Gala and celebratory events that honored this year’s recipients of the world’s most prestigious award for women business owners.

“It was exciting to share this honor with so many energetic, accomplished women from around the world.” says Robin. “We are proud of our relationship with IBM. The support they provide allows us to offer our customers a broad range of e-business products.”

The outreach for honorees extends to more than 75 global business organizations and women’s associations, as well as U.S. and world governmental agencies spanning 6 continents and 68 countries. Collectively, the companies owned by The Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World represent over $100 billion (USD) in annual sales.
